Women, Read All About It!

Now, don't we all love our "time of the month?"

Just kidding. Probably the only reason why is because it keeps reminding us almost every month that we can still get pregnant. Some women do not even have a period for various reasons. Some simply just never had one, and some exercise to the point of not having it due to being very active.

To those that have one regularly or abnormally, here are some tips to reduce the pain and cramps.

[1]. Do not eat bananas two weeks prior your menstrual cycle. By eating bananas, it increases the cramps while on your period.

[2]. Vitamins are your true friend! Take vitamins that your body needs, such as Vitamin C, B, and Omega. These are really great for your body and your health.

[3]. Drink water! If you are tired of drinking water by itself, try Vitamin Water. There are so many different flavors! Or, try Gatorade.

[4]. Got cramps? Drink carbonated soda. The best is Sprite, Sierra Mist, or Seven Up. It helps reduce the cramping. It works! It really helps me and my family. :)

[5]. Can't find the right pills to take away the cramping? I always use Extra Strength Tylenol. But, the number one is Midol. Midol works in just minutes. These always work, especially if you take a nap afterwards to calm your body down and relax. Relaxing is always good! :)

[6]. Tired of having irregular periods? Try birth control. Birth control not only prevents pregnancy, but it also helps regulate your cycle. BUT, the disadvantage of the pill? There are side effects, so make sure to check the side effects out and find the right brand that is best for you.

Tired of Buying Water?

Every single time I go to the store or a market, I see numerous people purchasing a lot of water.

My question is....WHY?!

Here's a quick tip.

1. Do not buy any water that says "pure drinking water" or even "drinking water." This was is strictly from the tap which is put through a system to clean out certain things we need for our body for nutrition and health.

2. Make your own water! Get a pot, pour as much water as you want to put into a pitcher or what have you, and set the stove temperature on high. Let it come to a boil, and let it boil for another 2-5 minutes. Then, turn the stove off, and set the pot in a cool place. After the water has cooled, put it into your pitcher..AND NOW? No more going to the store! You have free water right at your fingertips.

3. Now, if you do not want to make your own water? Buy good-quality water brands that DO NOT say "drinking water" on the package (explained in #1).
***Recommended Choices: Crystal Geyser, Arrowhead, Fiji, or even Ethos Water. All of these are most likely to be found in almost every store/market.

Here's a few tips on the best makeup brushes for different skin types and/or tones, as well as affordable retailers at various stores!

Recommended Brushes:

There are certain brushes, which may only be used on certain skin types. Some people are allergic to certain brushes-- especially the ones that are the free brush applicators.

Brushes are BETTER than applicators. Applicators are the ones that have a black, thin holder with a spongy-like applicator. These applicators will eventually put you in risk of wrinkles around your eye area (especially your eye lids), and will weaken your skin. Brushes are better, not only because they will not give you that skin damage or wrinkles, but it will give you a cleaner and fresher look. APPLICATORS ARE NOT GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN.

You can find brushes anywhere; but how much are you will to pay for them? That's the question.

**Affordable, but satisfying: Try Walgreens FIRST. Walgreens has good-quality brushes. I purchase my brushes here sometimes because they go on sale. Even when they are not on sale? THEY ARE STILL AT A GOOD PRICE. ($7-$20, varying on what brush you want)

If you do not find anything at Walgreens? Try Target next. Target has affordable brushes. ($3-$30, varying on what brush you want) Or, you can also even try Walmart! (aboutt the same as Target)

**Higher priced, but HIGH quality: Mary Kay. MK Company sells some FABULOUS brushes. I love their powder brush fro mineral powder. The brush spread the mineral powder on evenly, no clumps on my face, and no FLAWS. MK Company has NO flaws in anything they sell. Prices do vary for all of their brushes, but the mineral brush is around $16-$18. I am actually an Independent Beauty Senior Sales Consultant, so you may contact me for further information! (email: momiji05@hotmail.com)

Not interested in MK Company? Try Sephora! Sephora is EVERYWHERE! The only downfall is that Sephora is well-known, and when a company is well-known? Their prices are usually higher than everything else. Sephora may be twice as high as MK Company, but it's just right around the corner. Great makeup, great brushes, and great perfumes and skin care products.

How-To: Makeup

Align Left

See the image on the right? I'm going to give you directions on how to do it. :)

(If you use foundation or mineral powder, apply this FIRST.)

[1]. Find or buy an eyeshadow brush, with no fine lines or abstract edges, and start by applying softly the base--apply clockwise for best results. The base should match your skin tone, with a hint of color--but not too much.

[2]. Clean your eyeshadow brush after the first application thoroughly, and apply the pinkish tone over the base color to add additional brightness. Use any color that brightens up your eyes and skin tone.

[3]. After that application, clean it again. Now, either take a retractable eyeliner pen or use the right eyeshadow brush shape for your skin and apply the black color. To do this, you know the part of your eyelid that is covered every time you blink? Apply the black color inside there and along the edges where your eyelashes are at to enhance your eyelashes and make them look thicker. Then, take the eyeshadow brush (or rectractable eyeliner pen--Sephora for $10-20 dollars), and draw the line in almost a have circle or a slight curve. This will give you an edgy look, and brighten up your beautiful eyes.

[4]. After you finished applying all of your color, use a soft powder brush to blend your eyeshadow to an even touch. Apply a soft lip gloss or lip shine with a hint of color to bring out your lips. Now, look in the mirror to see your gorgeous self! Love it! Show it off to your friends. :)

My Number One

Now, I believe that we all have a "number one" in our lives to help us through the darkest of nights, throught the lightest of days. Unless, you have not found yours yet. Maybe because that you do not know they are right in front of you, or have a certain criteria to select you "number one."

Who's my "number one?"

My "number one" is my Angel on Earth; My Inspiration; My Life; My Power of Love; My Future; My Days and Nights.

My "number one" is my mother. She is full of great wisdom and spirit, and yet so young still. She will never be mistaken for, and do not think she is something she is not. So many people find her to be one thing, but she is not just one thing. She is Life. She is me.

My mother is the most gorgeous woman on Earth. I am extremely blessed to have her as my "number one."

Why is she my "number one?"

Well, we all have to have someone to believe in. If we do not? Sooner or later...we'll go crazy, looking for one sleeplessly.

You have got to believe in the Power of Love.

There is so much darkness in the world, but as long as I have my mother's spirit, I will always be her firefly.
